Every piece we build is designed to be lived with, loved, and passed down through generations. Because solid wood is a living material that responds to its environment, proper care ensures its beauty endures.
Daily Care & Spillages
Dust regularly with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For accidental spills, wipe immediately with a slightly damp cloth, then dry the surface thoroughly with a separate soft towel. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, abrasive pads, or silicone-based furniture polishes, as these will degrade the natural finish over time.
Sunlight & Heat Protection
Position your furniture away from prolonged, direct sunlight and intense heat sources such as fireplaces, radiators, or heating vents. Extreme heat and UV rays can unevenly discolour the timber, dry out the wood fibers, or cause structural cracking.
Climate & Humidity
Solid wood naturally breathes, expanding and contracting with seasonal changes. To prevent warping, swelling, or splitting, maintain a stable indoor relative humidity between 40% and 55% within your home.
Please Note: The guidelines above are general practices for solid wood. Because every finish and timber choice carries its own unique characteristics, a personalized care card tailored specifically to your piece will be included in your original delivery shipment.
